# Grill me

Inspired by Matt Pocock's grill-me, adapted for content.

Interview me about this piece until we agree on its one point. Ask one question at a time, and give your suggested answer with each.

Cover what the answers need:

- What should the viewer walk away believing?
- Who is it for, and why would they care today?
- What is the proof: a story, an example, a number?
- What will they think or do differently after?
- What is the obvious "so what?", and how does the piece answer it?

If there's a draft or transcript, read it first and don't ask what it already answers. Stop when the point fits in one sentence I agree with, usually within five to eight questions. Then give me that sentence and a short outline that serves it. Don't write the piece unless I ask.
