How the visuals workThe creator speaks directly to the camera from her car, using hand gestures and large on-screen captions to emphasize the specific calorie and sodium numbers she is discussing.
Don't eat the chicken fingers from Costco. I walked into Costco yesterday and I was like, they have the five piece chicken fingers which everybody's been talking about is supposed to be. Which is replacing their calzone, which is supposedly supposed to be a somewhat healthier option. Underneath it is the calories worth 1600 calories for five chicken fingers. And I looked at my husband and I was like, that can't be right. 1600 calories for five chicken fingers. So I looked it up and it's right. That's just. Just the chicken fingers and the sauce. So chicken fingers. Five chicken fingers and the sauce. 1600 calories. Only 43 grams of protein. But then I did a little bit deeper dive. It's 3000 milligrams of sodium out of that. 1600 calories. 500 calories of that is just the sauce. The container on that sauce is not that big. So some people are probably getting two containers. So five chicken fingers, a small container of sauce. More calories than some people eat in a day. You can have a slice of cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory for less than 1600 calories. You can have five spicy chicken sandwiches from Chick Fil A for about 1600 calories. My mind is still blown.

Why this structure worksThis structure works for any 'Reality Check' content. A gaming channel could use it to warn against a new 'battle pass' (e.g., 'Don't buy the new pass. It's replacing the old one which was a better value. It takes 100 hours to complete. I looked it up, you can beat 5 whole games in that same amount of time. My mind is blown.'). A cooking channel could use it for a recipe (e.g., 'Don't make this viral pasta. It's supposedly healthy. It has 50g of sugar. That's more than 3 sodas.').
