1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Skube Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation, collects, uses, and shares information when you use Benchmark at benchmark.social or subscribe to its newsletter. We keep data collection minimal and collect only what is needed to provide, operate, and protect the Service.

2. Information we collect

• The email address you provide when you subscribe to the newsletter.
• Information in messages you send to us, including your contact details and the contents of your inquiry.
• Automatic technical data recorded in ordinary server and request logs, such as your IP address, approximate location at the city or country level, browser and device type, and request timestamps.
• Preferences stored locally on your device, limited to your sound on or off setting and theme.

Benchmark has no user accounts or login, and it does not collect user-generated content.

3. How we use your information

We use information to deliver and manage the newsletter, operate, secure, and improve the site, respond to inquiries, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-party services (sub-processors)

We use the following service providers to operate Benchmark:

• Cloudflare, for hosting, database, object storage, content delivery network services, and security.
• Resend, for newsletter email delivery.

These providers process information on our behalf to provide their services. This list may be updated as Benchmark and its operational needs evolve.

5. Cookies and local storage

Benchmark uses essential or preference local storage only to remember your sound on or off setting and theme. It does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. We honor browser-based Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

6. Data retention

We retain newsletter email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We retain ordinary server and request logs for a short period, up to 90 days, for security and debugging. We may retain information longer when required by law.

7. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Send a request to privacy@benchmark.social. We will respond within 30 days.

8. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may have rights to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights available under the CCPA or CPRA.

9. European and UK users (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on consent to send the newsletter, our legitimate interests to operate and secure the site, and legal obligation where processing is required by law.

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, as well as a right to data portability. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. International data transfers

Benchmark operates from the United States, and your information is processed in the United States. Where required for transfers from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized safeguards.

Benchmark is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can delete it.
