NYC Apartment Drama: The Petty Airbnb Revenge

It took seven months of living in New York City to have our first issue in a non doorman building. Last night we got woken up at 3:30am by our door being buzzed and we were like, did we order anything? What is it? I checked my phone to see if I had any missed calls from like an Amazon driver. And then I saw it was 3:30 and I was like, they don't even come this early. They buzzed our door for like 10 minutes. Finally, Eli gets out of bed to go down to see who it is. There's an Airbnb in our building, which is illegal in Manhattan by the way. And this couple were out partying for the World cup, apparently came back at 3:30, couldn't get in, decided to buzz the whole building repeatedly. If we were in the same situation, maybe we would have done that too. But when Eli opens the door for them, they were telling him it was his problem that they couldn't get in. They were not apologetic at all. They were dicks about it and be like, well, it's your problem. You need to contact your management to like let us in. Da da da. So Eli has become the pettiest person I've ever heard of. He woke up for his run around like 5, 6am and instead of running to the park, he ran circles our block. And every time he passed our building, he buzzed their unit over and over and over again for like 45 minutes. And now every time we've gone in and out of the house today, he just keeps buzzing it. And he was like, you woke up the wrong person and was a dick to the wrong guy. Anyways, that's life in New York City, I guess. Illegal Airbnbs.
