Part seven of trying restaurants. I wasn't allowed to eat as a child.
Part seven of trying restaurants. I wasn't allowed to eat as a child. So many of you requested this spot, so I obviously had to deliver. And today we are going to Olive Garden. The only time I came here growing up is with my grandma because my parents hated this place. And I honestly can't even blame them because is it really even Italian food? But I digress, and today we are giving it a fair shot. Started out with the strawberry passion fruit lemonade, and the lemonade itself was not that good. But you already know I went absolutely feral for these breadsticks. I mean, who doesn't? They were piping hot, so fresh, and the garlic salt goes crazy. I also have to admit that this salad is absolutely delicious. The dressing is what makes it for me, and I would be content just eating this in the bread. But I wasn't going to back down yet, so we had to try these hot honey chicken. Olive Garden really did their big one with these because, oh my gosh, why were they so good? I had to hold myself back from drinking the sauce. We are obsessed with it now. I feel like you can't come here without getting the unlimited soup salad breadstick. So I started out with the chicken gnocchi soup and it was fine. It's just nothing special and I could probably make it better. A lot of you wanted me to try the tour of Italy for my entree, so that's exactly what I ordered. It comes with their chicken parm, fettuccine Alfredo and lasagna. And wow, was it a lot of food. And honestly, it was mid at best. Like the fetuccini Alfredo is the only thing I find decent. Not to mention I was having shooting stomach pains after eating this. Like I was unwell. But I persevered for dessert because these Italian donuts actually so delicious. I'm not a huge fan of either dipping sauce, but the crunchy sugar on the fluffy donuts is an absolute. Personally, I'd never willingly come here for Italian food, but if you're an Olive Garden stand, feel free to fight me in the comments. Let me know where I should try next.
