The script — as said out loud
I'm a professional organizer. And here are three more things I want you to please, pretty please throw away today. And when I say today, I mean like right now. Shouldn't it be hard? I believe in you. Number one, I want you to throw away the old dish towels and bath towels that you never touch. Now, before you tell me how many ways you can cut up a bath towel and repurpose it, use it in the garage, whatever. At the end of the day, a household only needs a certain number of towels. And if you have an overstuffed drawer or an overflowing closet, you probably have too many and you should get rid of the old ones. Okay, number two, I want you to throw away the old, mostly used, probably expired, hasn't been touched for years. Beauty products that are sitting in the back cabinets of your bathroom or your bathroom closets. You want your bathroom to be as sanitary of a place as possible. And if it's stuffed with items, that makes it harder to clean, harder to maintain. And frankly, if you haven't used it for a while, you're probably not going to use it in the future. So just do yourself a favor and get rid of it now. Number three, throw away the old swimwear that you never wear anymore. It's summertime, so chances are you've already unearthed your swim collection. So take some time to go through. Find the ones that maybe don't fit you or you just never wear, and get rid of them. Now, if you're dead set on keeping items that don't fit you currently, I'm not here to argue with you, but please do me a favor and store them away from the clothes that do fit you. Currently, your closet isn't functional if it's full of clothes that don't fit you. And of course I use throw it away as a blanket statement. So please donate and recycle where it's appropriate. But some things are just garbage and they belong in the garbage can. You're concerned about things ending up in a landfill, then stop buying garbage and bringing it home. Okay, thanks.
