Why I'm Leaving Full-Time Influencing for Corporate America

This is a vulnerable video to make, so stick with me here. Wanted to give you guys an update that I may be going back to a corporate job. I'm gonna rewind a little bit. So in 2025, I quit my job. I was doing tech recruiting, and it was a certain time at Google where they were having these layoffs where essentially you volunteer yourself to be laid off and you get. Get a severance. So I think it was like three months. Things were going well on social media, so I was like, maybe I should just, you know, jump and try to do this full time, which I don't regret. I'm very much like you tell me to do something. I'm not gonna listen to you. I'm learning through experience. First year that I quit, I tried working at a treatment center, and it was great because I met so many new people. It was so fun until it just became really draining emotionally. I just felt like I couldn't do it anymore. Things weren't working, so I quit that. And now I'm back here at square one. Not someone who posts about, like, food or makeup or beauty. Anything specific. Like, I post my life, and I really need structure in my life. I think that's what I realized. And I miss seeing, like, friends every day. I think a lot of people, like, are like, yes, quit your job. Like, it's awesome. And that's true for some people that are, like, very independent. But, like, I love community. I love people. I also thought, like, if you quit your corporate job and you're making a ton of money and influencing, like, more the merrier, do you. Then you can travel, do all this stuff and not have to worry about money. But, like, when you're not making so much money at influencing, like, it kind of makes sense to have a corporate job and to have that stability. I'm just not at the point yet where I, like, feel totally comfortable just living off of this salary. Not salary, but you know what I mean? So I'm going to take you guys along my finding a job journey. And this is funny because I was like, I'll never go back to corporate America. And now I'm like, maybe just, like, show you guys that, like, things change and everything isn't as it appears online. Like, everyone's like, oh, there's so much freedom and content creation. And yes, there is, but there's so much pressure at the same time. There's a lot more going on than you think. Hopefully you guys will accept me back into the corporate world.
