Analysis
A pink triangle and stark white equation call for action during the AIDS crisis.
“SILENCE=DEATH”
symbolismcontrastcompressed message
Why it worked
The empty black field isolates the symbol and the demand. The equation makes silence appear to have a direct consequence.
Lesson
Reduce a public call to the symbol and words that carry its central demand.
